Is there a God?

Its the biggest question, ever asked.

The problem is we can’t answer it until we know what we are looking for, and we don’t!

All the religions we know of are based on each other in some way. Its why they all follow the idea that God, or Gods, as super human deities who can change things based on human behaviour. If we do things they don’t like, one thing happens, if we do other things, we get a different outcome.

Proving if that is the case, it not a proof of the existence of Gods. Its a proof of that explanation of Gods, which is a different thing.

If you really want to prove the existence of a deity, you need to find a way to do it, and we don’t have that.  We can’t just say, if God exists, I should be saved if I jump off a building.  God may teaching you about self responsibility by not doing so!

If a deity exists, what difference would it make? What could only happen if a deity exists? What couldn’t happen if a deity didn’t exist?  These are huge questions that can’t be tested without knowledge.  We don’t even know what knowledge we need to be able to move forward.

And that is why everything being said by atheists is flawed.

If you want to prove God doesn’t exist, you need to work out what you are trying to prove, and proving that the Christian version of God is wrong, isn’t enough.  Even if they are wrong, which they probably are, doesn’t mean there is no God, just not one that looks like an old guy with white hair and beard!
